Donate Books for our Book Sales

Throughout the year you can donate your used books, CDs, videos, audio tapes,sheet music, DVDs. to the Friends of the Library.

You can drop off your donations at the Library where, if requested, a tax receipt will be provided.

For larger donations, contact us and we will schedule a pick up.

We accept:
  • All pocket size and larger paperback fiction in good condition.
  • All hardbacks.
  • All classics in paperback and hardback in good condition. Any author who has been nominated or received a prize is considered classic.
  • All non-fiction books in paperback and hardback in good condition.
  • Encyclopedias that are 1996 or newer.
  • Videos, audiotapes, CDs, and DVDs, sheet music and maps.
  • Magazines.
We do NOT accept:
  • Books that are torn, dirty, smell of mold or smoke or other strong odors.
  • Books with excessive writing or underlining.
  • Readers’ Digest condensed books.
  • Computer books older than 2003.
  • Encyclopedias older than 1996.
  • Textbooks and reference books older than 1996.
