Buy A Book
The Friends use the sale of books as the main source of fund raising.  The books for sale are all either donated or ones the library replaced. The money from the sale supports programs for the library and other literacy programs.

Buy a book off the book cart -  The Kingman Library has a display of used books and other media for sale.  A variety of books, reference materials, magazines and children’s books are available for your browsing.  Look for the red cart in the library near the circulation desk, it holds books and other media for sale.  The sale is on the honor system.   You take a book and put the money in Money Box.  It is a great way to buy a book in between the Book Sales.

Buy Books at the Book Sales –   There is no better way to enhance your personal or family’s libraries, especially in these economic times.  You will find thousands of children’s books, fiction books, non-fiction books and collector’s books at the Friends Book Sale.  It isn’t just about books.  There are also, DVDs, audiobooks and other materials.

There are four book sales per year.  Three of the sales include the indoor section plus the outdoor bargain area.  The December sale does not include the bargain area because of the weather.

Sale Location – All sales are located at the Kingman library located at 3269 N. Burbank.

Prices – The bargain area prices are an average of 50 cents.  Now you know why we call it a bargain area.   The indoor portion runs around $1.00 for a paper back and $2.00 for hardback.  DVD movies are $3.00.  Audio book prices vary.  Children’s books are priced less.

**  To attend the Friends Members evening, you must be a current Member of the Friends of the Library – Kingman.  You may become a member or renew at the door.
